BOMFORD has extended its range of saw-blade cutting attachments with the addition of the new ProSaw, suitable for use with most of Bomford reach-arm mower. An alternative model is available, that includes a frame – the HRF (Hydraulic Reach Frame) - that enables the ProSaw to be mounted onto a telescopic handler or tractor loader. The ProSaw is capable of cutting through branches up to 20cm (8.0in) diameter, making it ideal for handling over-grown vegetation or where conservation stewardship schemes require hedges to be cut less frequently, and so beyond the scope of normal flail heads. Three versions are available for use on conventional reach-arm mowers, which have cutting widths of 1.6m, 2.0m and 2.4m. The ProSaw comprises of four circular saw blades that are mounted in-line and are hydraulically driven with a maximum power consumption of just 20Kw. For greater versatility all three models can also be mounted on a special frame that allows them to be used on a telescopic handler. The ProSaw is carried on the HRF extendable carriage, that is adaptable for most common telescopic handler and tractor loader headstocks. For transport, the ProSaw head is manually folded to bring it within the overall width of the telescopic handler or tractor. Two versions of the HRF carriage are available, both of which incorporate an integral side boom facility that enables the ProSaw to be extended sideways by up to 2.8m or 3.3m. The frame also features a hydraulic break-back that allows the ProSaw to swing up to 45° backwards in the event of an obstruction being hit, or the saw being over-loaded.
BOMFORD has extended its range of farm, estate and green space maintenance equipment with the addition of a new sweeper collector that can be mounted on the arm of a reach mower, making it ideal for use in a wide range of environments and especially on compact tractors.
The ProSweep has a working width of 1.2 metres and features a hard-wearing polypropylene brush that is powered by a 75 litres/minute hydraulic motor developing 205 bar. Total weight is 190kg, making it suitable for use even on the smallest Bomford Kestrel reach-arm mowers.
Quickly mounted in place of the cutting head and carried on a robust frame, the standard specification on the ProSweep includes two support wheels that are adjustable to five working height options. The specification also includes a front-mounted hopper collector which is emptied and closed manually. If required this can also be quickly and simply removed.
The Raptor range of flail mowers is the ideal choice for users who have a dedicated shoulder mowing operation to perform. Extremely flexible with 140° cowl angling and 750mm hydraulic offset, the Raptor is able to work around street furniture and cope effortlessly with variations in ground level. For added versatility and increased output the Raptor can be front mounted allowing a standard reach mower to be fitted to the rear of the tractor to work in conjunction with the Raptor giving a maximum one pass cut of up to 3.5m.
With 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0m cutting widths there is a machine to suit every user’s requirement. The standard Pro-Flail give high updraft to lift flattened grass and eliminate wheelings, leaving a neat clipped finish with well mulches residue. Full length front and rear rubber guards are standard, to control cut material in a safe manner.
The Bomford Raptor comes in a choice of 3 cutting widths 1.2, 1.6 or 2.0 metres and provides versatile cutting angles of between 90 degrees up bank and 50 degrees down bank. Choose from 3 different flail types to suit your vegetation.
